Dudsbury Ladies Win Dorset Ladies Interclub Cup!
On 22nd September Dudsbury Ladies won the “Dorset Ladies Interclub Cup” which was first played for in 1928. This is the 3rd time Dudsbury has won the competition.
In total, 19 teams from Dorset golf clubs took part in the competition with the Dudsbury Ladies first playing 8 matches against 4 other clubs, both home and away. Winning their group, Dudsbury qualified for the the Semi-Final played against Came Down at The Dorset Golf & Country Club. After a good win in the Semi-Final it was on to the Final against Parkstone at Bridport.
It was a very tight match; Parkstone were up 3/2 through 5 matches, then Karen Gray holed her putt on the 17th to win her match making the score 3/3. At the same time, Kathy Yeoman was playing the 18th and halved her match. Kathy then went on to play the 19th and won the hole, the match and the competition for Dudsbury Golf Club.
